Presented Overview of Regional and Global Wind Energy Policy at the second Indonesia Wind Energy Forum in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is organized by WhypGEN and GEF.

At the Asia Clean Energy Forum 2014, Pramod Jain was a panelist on June 18 in the "Promotion of Utility Scale Renewable Energy Applications" session. He spoke about challenges of developing economically viable utility-scale wind projects in new and emerging wind markets. Experiences from Quantum Leap in Wind Power in Asia and the Pacific were presented.

In the emerging wind energy markets there is a strong desire to move to clean energy solutions, but a variety of challenges have slowed progress. Asian Development Bank’s Quantum Leap in Wind Power Development for Asia and the Pacific (ADB/QLW) program has been working in Mongolia, Philippines and Sri Lanka for about five years.
On June 16, 2014 at the Asian Development Bank HQ in Manila, IWE is organizing Quantum Leap in Wind 2014 workshop. The workshop is part of pre-ACEF (Asia Clean Energy Forum) day-long sessions.
In Makassar, Indonesia from Feb 17-21, 2014, IWE conducted a workshop. The 5-day workshop covered topics related to impact of wind energy on the grid. The hands-on workshop covered steady-state and dynamic stability modeling, system operations and wind resource assessment. The workshop is part of USAID's Indonesia Clean Energy Development (ICED) project.
